PEOPLE IN NEED

Hello everybody !! This Christmas I decided to give my gardener's family a little help and I was wondering if any of you guys will be interested in helping them too. Expensive toys are of no use. They don't even know what a brand new toy is. What they need is shoes, socks, clothes, uniforms, sweaters, underwear, blankets, notebooks, color pencils, (school stuff, 5 of them are supposed to go to school but they don't even have shoes to get there). I am talking about 3 girls and 4 boys.
Girls ages are 3,5 and 7 years. Boys are 8, 10, 11 and 12. Yes, I know, I know, tooo many kids...

but it is not their fault, they need our help so that maybe, next year they might be able to go to school...
I went to visit their "home" last week... it is a "room" with only 3 beds, a table with 4 chairs and a lamp, the "bathroom" is OUTSIDE !!

I mean, the mother cleans houses and the father, as I told U before, is a "gardener". They eat ONLY ONE MEAL A DAY !!

Anyone interested, please post your e-mail here so we can coordinate. If you don't care, please do not post. I am not going to give them money, just maybe some food and candy for Christmas Eve, some clothes I will buy myself, I will not give the parents ANY CASH AT ALL.

Yes, I remember last year katwoman did a GREAT JOB, she helped me back then with some kids with severe brain damage , and I myself delivered some of the stuff that was donated.... She is working with me this Christmas, but she is taking care of the kids with cerebral palsy, because they do not need toys or stuff like that, what they need is money to buy diapers, special nutrition, special clothes and much more ...
ANYTHING you can send them will be great !! As I mentioned above, they don't even have socks and here in Costa Rica the coldest time of the year is november, december and january !!!! I will e-mail U as soon as possible. Thanks again!!! And may God bless you and your family today and always!

Are you looking to benefit a family that lives in Costa Rica, or one that lives in New York?

The part about their schooling needs makes it sound like it is definitely a costarican family that you are referring to since schooling here poses quite a challenge for the poor families. Please clarify.

Thanks Judge !! Katwoman already told me we can count on U ! We worked together on the "Christmas Help" program last year. It was GREAT! Now she is working with me taking care of the needs for kids with severe cerebral palsy.
We will be contacting U tomorrow !!

Yes, I live in San Jose and I was able to go visit their "house" located in a terrible "neighborhood" called Leon XIII ....
Yes, they need lots of things, almost everything. 4 of them really need to start going to school, they really want to.

Judge:
This will be our 3rd year working together. Since 2001, Kat and I , we try to help as many kids as we can. We even worked for "Manitas de Amor" but, to be honest with you, I do not like that program anymore because of personal reasons.
As I told U before, this year I am "in charge" of helping those poor kids. I wish I could do more, honest. Well, lets see how it goes.
We're talking about 7 healthy but poor kids, and about 11 teenagers with severe cerebral palsy, due to the fact that their mothers can't leave them alone at home to go to work cause they're like little babies trapped in teenagers bodies. Karoline is one of them, she is my niece. Anyways, I will contact U guys tomorrow, see how it goes, ok?

let me know the shoe sizes I would like to get them shoes so they can go to school. Does it matter what kind?

I will also send s few school supplies.

Also if you can't get a service to use...
I can get them hand delievered to you there.
Worst case I will know some people flying down to Costa Rica (if not me) and I will get my driver there to deliever it.

Girls shoe's sizes are 8, 9 1/2 and 11 (little kid's sizes). Boys are 5 1/2, 6 1/2, 8 and 9 1/2 (HE IS VEEEERY TALL). Basic School uniforms require black shoes for girls, black shoes or black tennis shoes for boys.
It will be great if somebody could bring the stuff, otherwise, I will pay for customs, I have no choice.

Here we go again !! Me and Kat, remember??
We´re starting early this year so we don run out of time like the last Christmas !! Please remember: expensive toys are of no use. We need to collect some shoes, socks, clothes, sweaters, school supplies.
Ages are 2,3,5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

Also, we need to buy medications, diapers, special homemade clothes and special food for 8 teens with severe mental palsy.
